On December 16th, in Hanoi, Bach Mai hospital and the Ministry of Health hosted "COPD Day 2018" to enhance awareness in COPD and asthma prevention and treatment.

The event had the participation of the Minister of Health - Dr Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Dr Nguyen Thuy Anh, from the Social Affairs of National Assembly, leaders of Social Health Insurance Office, WHO Country Director, leaders of Departments of Health, hospitals, lung hospitals throughout the country. Woolcock Institute of Medical Research has been invited to join in this special event.

In the event, well-known professors and doctors from international organizations and hospitals joined in a discussion on COPD and asthma risk factors, consequences, prevention and treatment. Prof. Guy Masks was one of the key guests to be on stage to share his knowledge of most common reasons for COPD and prevention methods.
